- The Santiago Network Secretariat is pleased to announce this call for proposals to catalyze technical assistance from organizations, bodies, networks and experts (OBNEs) in response to a request from the Republic of Yemen.The Santiago Network was established under the Warsaw International Mechanism for loss and damage (WIM) in 2019 as a mechanism to catalyze technical assistance by relevant OBNEs to avert, minimize and address loss and damage associated with the adverse effects of climate change at the local, national and regional level. The technical assistance is for developing countries that are particularly vulnerable to the adverse effects of climate change. The Santiago Network Secretariat is co-hosted by the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS). This Santiago Network call for proposals is managed by UNOPS as a co-host of the Santiago Network Secretariat. This technical assistance aims to support national efforts to address loss and damage associated with climate change in line with Yemen-s climate and disaster risk management priorities.
