• Description:
• Tenders are invited for Construction of Two Additional Classrooms above the Ground Floor of Al-Malha School - Al-Thameer and Al-Malha Area - Radfan M/ Lahej. 2. The Project The overall objective of the action is to promote resilience and social cohesion for vulnerable communities in Yemen, through an integrated approach, with special focus on IDPs, returnees and host communities. The targets dour districts ln Lahj Gov, namely, Tuban, Al-Maqatera, Radfan and Al-Madaribah & Ras Alarah. The proposed action is structured around two specific objectives, namely: · SO1: To enhance resilience of returnees, IDPs and their host communities. · SO2: To promote community social cohesion and strengthen the capacity of the local authorities and civil society organizations. 3. Goal of construction for two classrooms · Search-Yemen seeks for a contracting company to undertake the construction of two classrooms at El Malha School to enhance and facilitate student access to education services in the area. · The service provider will build the classrooms on the first floor (above the ground floor) and provide the required workers from the people of the targeted area and the around areas. · The list of needed equipment and supplies with the specification are attached with the target location. 4. Timeline · The contractor will take 40 days to construct required classroom, in the targeted area under the supervision of the project-s engineer, local authorities, and the project management team. 5. Deliverables Search-Yemen expects the following deliverables from the contracting company/s: · Constructing two classrooms in the Elmalha school according to the specifications and the attached schedule of quantities. 6. Requirements of contractor / construction company(s) The following requirements and experience are expected: · Companies that have brand agencies or certified agents or have relevant experience in construction. · experience with NGOs in construction. · Registered company and have all licenses and bank account. 7. Quality Assurance Search-Yemen highly emphasizes on completion of classroom construction in accordance with international standards for quality assurance and according to the specifications attached in the specification tables. During the selection process, priority will be given to quality assurance measures. 8.
